Gaga’s Workshop (star’s own version of Santa’s Workshop) will be open from mid November until January 2 and will take up Barney’s fifth floor. It will feature books and CD’s curated by Gaga, toys, accessories, make-up in Gaga-worthy bright colours, sweets and candles.
“Holiday is about joy, sharing and inclusiveness, and to me, Gaga really represents all of that,” said Barneys’ chief executive officer Mark Lee. “Her platform is so much about positivity, individuality and universality in a very today way.”
“Lady Gaga is a rare cultural phenomenon, not only because of her exceptional talents as a singer, songwriter and performer, but also with regard to her support of equality and individuality and status as a fashion icon,” added Mark Lee.
“Partnering with her in this unprecedented collaborative way to create the largest and most all-encompassing holiday theme that Barneys has ever mounted is a thrill. As a New York City landmark, we wanted to celebrate Lady Gaga as a fellow New Yorker and amazing talent.”
