Classic British pattern and rock & royal soul are the inspiration for new Ermanno Scervino’s Fall Winter 2018/19 Tartan Addict collection, presented during the recently finished Milan Fashion Week.
Tartan “inspired by London and not Great Britain,” said the designer, took center stage, but was revisited, worked in patchwork patterns, embellished with cross-stitching and juxtaposed with animal prints in contrasting colors. Jackets and coats in houndstooth or herringbone are re-worked and embellished by embedded shearling inserts. This classic patterns were updated by expanding the patterns and adding touches of bright yellow or red.
Prince of Wales joggers have sporty bands in technical fabrics running down the sides. Horizontal stripes in bright colors were enhanced by alternating them with black bands.
Very interesting collection that allows the wearer to play with different combinations. Our favorites are the three-type tartan tailored jacket and shirts with colourful tartan and animal print contrasts
