The largest mall in the world is South China Mall with a gross leaseable area of 6.46 million square foot, opened in 2005 and with a space for 2,350 stores but 99.2% i.e. 2303 are vacant since the opening of the mall making it a dead mall.
The occupied space of mall is near the entrance with different Western fast food chains. The experts have expressed different reasons for the failure of mall, most of which discuss the flaws in location of the mall.
